Hot Sale 55 Gallon DRUM Miller-Stephenson PTFE Mold Release Agent Dry Lubricant MS-143TE only @ 11.400. This is for a full sealed drum of MS-143TE . MS-143TE was developed as an efficient, economical and universal release agent. This formulation is a nonflammable, non-ozone depleting release agent/dry lubricant, containing a suspension of low-molecular PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) fluoropolymers. As a dry lubricant, MS-143TE minimizes “slip-stick” and is ideal for low speed, light load applications. MS-143TE offers the following benefits.

Core Benefits & Performance
  • Zero Transfer, Non-Migrating: The dry film chemically binds to the mold surface, meaning it your molded components. This is critical if parts require post-bonding or painting.
  • Minimizes “Slip-Stick”: Delivers an exceptionally low coefficient of friction, optimizing smooth movement in low-speed, light-load mechanical actions.
  • High Thermal Stability: Will not break down, char, or form gummy deposits when exposed to high molding bake temperatures.
  • Environmental Safety: Formulated with non-ozone-depleting carrier solvents.

Compatible Materials & Applications
This universal formulation is highly effective across diverse substrates:
  • Molding Mediums: Plastics, rubbers, structural resins, phenolics, acrylics, polycarbonates, urethanes, polystyrene, and nylons.
  • Bonding Operations: Widely relied upon for rubber-to-metal bonding cycles.
  • Dry Lubrication Surfaces: Metals, ceramics, glass, elastomers, and finished wood.

Critical Application Protocols for 55-Gallon Drums
Because this product is shipped in bulk liquid drums, it requires strict agitation and application protocols:
  1. Continuous Agitation: The PTFE particles settle out of suspension quickly. When drawing from a 55-gallon drum, you must use an industrial drum mixer/agitator to mix the product thoroughly before and during transfer.
  2. Surface Prep: Clean the tool surfaces mechanically (media blasting or steel wool) followed by a chemical cleaner to strip away previous release agents.
  3. Application: Apply via bulk spray systems that create a fine mist. Ensure the product hits the mold surface “wet” and that the tool temperature is below 50°C during application.
  4. Flash Off: Allow the carrier solvent to fully evaporate to a completely dry, white film before commencing the molding run.
